This article presents the questions suscitated by the Brazilian cinema novo during the sixties and the seventies, having as reference the historical year of 1968. Thus, the manifest of Glauber Rocha, which contains the purposes of the cinemanovista esthetics, is the starting point to have an idea about the cinema of that period. In “The esthetics of the violence as pedagogy”, it is made a short analysis of the emergent esthetics forces in this period. In the other topic, “An anthropophagical cinema”, it is formulated a comparative analysis between the cinema novo and the cinema marginal.
