Potential of physical culture and sports local lore in patriotic education of young people

Abstract

Currently, activities aimed at improving the effectiveness of patriotic education of the population in the Russian Federation can hardly be overestimated. A promising tool in this direction is physical culture and sports local lore. However, to date, it has been poorly studied both in theory and in practice. The purpose of the study is to determine the potential of physical culture and sports local lore in the issues of patriotic education of young people. Research methods: analysis of information sources and personal experience in matters of patriotic education. The conducted research made it possible to determine the current state of the system of patriotic education in the Russian Federation, the potential of physical culture and sports local studies in this matter, including indicators of the personality of a patriot in this context.
