The Certificate in Teaching in Higher Education (CTHE) is a mandatory program for aspiring permanent academic staff in Sri Lankan Higher Education Institutions. General Sir John Kotelawala University (KDU) plays a crucial role in training young academics for this program. Active learning strategies have been increasingly adopted in engineering education to enhance student engagement and learning outcomes. This study investigates the impact of active learning techniques on the performance of engineering students at General Sir John Kotelawala University (KDU).
