The despair felt in the face of death is as old as human history, and three main works of art that express this common concern of all mankind in the most effective way are of interest: the "Gilgamesh Epic" belonging to the civilization of Mesopotamia, "Dede Korkut Tales" dealing with the period when the Turks began to Islamize and the "Essays" which are the basic foundation stones of the Renaissance France and which contain all kinds of elements related to humanity, all of which deal with the fear of death and the process of accepting death. Freedom is not prejudiced rebellion but death is as natural as birth; to deny death is to deny the existence of the human kind. The pre-condition of freedom is not to revolt but to consider death as natural as birth; to deny death is the denial of the existence of human beings.
