Respuestas omitidas: Examen de Matemáticas Básicas – Universidad Jorge Tadeo Lozano
Abstract
This paper presents a study about omitted responses and their connection with both performance of applicants and some test characteristics, in the case of a qualifying exam for Basic Mathematics at Universidad de Bogotá Jorge Tadeo Lozano. In order to accomplish the goals of the study, the influence of several indications given to the applicants before the test on the omitted responses is examined. Then, we introduce a linear regression that relates to the score formula and the estimated ability through the Rasch Model which includes everyone among the 1.595 applicants. Finally, omitted responses and their relationship with context variables like sex, school type, age range and faculty of admission are studied.
