As it is known, the development of plurilingual and intercultural competences goes hand in hand with the development of positive attitudes towards languages and their speakers. Τhe valorisation of linguistic and cultural diversity guide to the establishment of democratic and inclusive societies that are based on social solidarity and mutual understanding. Such a quality education should take into account and exploit the linguistic and cultural capital of the students. The paper present didactic interventions, which took place in elementary schools of Thessaloniki, (Greece), which are based on the Integrated Didactics Approach described in the Framework of Reference for Pluralistic Approaches to Languages and Cultures (FREPA/CARAP, 2007) of the Council of Europe, in order to develop the learners’ linguistic competences and to exploit their linguistic repertoire for learning French as a foreign language.
