Academic Year and GenderRelated Differences in Students´ Assessment of the University of A Coruña´s Degree in Sports Science and Physical Education
Abstract
The aim of this research was to analyze the assessment made by the University of A Coruña´s Degree in Sports Science and Physical Education students (2013-2014 academic year) of their study programme and their faculty. As a data collection instrument, we used a questionnaire designed specifically for this study and validated through the expert judgment. During the research, we obtained a sample of 272 subjects (207 men and 65 women), corresponding to 34.04% of the population. The sample is considered as representative, the margin of error is of 5% and a confidence level is of 95%. According to the analysis results, there are significant differences between how men and women assess of their study programme and their faculty. Likewise, the research reveals significant differences in the students´assessment according to their academic year. The analysis results might be applied to improve the University of A Coruña´s Degree in Sports Science and Physical Education study programme.
