Functional Assessment of the Elderly Patient (Out of Print)

Abstract

Abstract This module illustrates the process of functional assessment using a virtual patient who has a progressive dementing illness. The patient is a 78-year-old white (non-Hispanic) male. The module follows him over time, focusing on how his functional status is affected by changes that are both intrinsic and extrinsic to the progression of the disease itself.
