I wrote this poem thirteen years after the occurrence of the fact that I mention. It is a painful fact, but common and universal, nothing exceptional. Millions of people have passed and shall pass the test of patient care throughout his process towards a close and almost certain death. For me to live the process of the actual death of my father of a brain tumor in February of 2000 has helped me, among many other things, to understand that it is important to maintain an image of strength in the presence of the weak. If to convey that strength and joy you have to freeze the pain for a while, and to camouflage it considering the fragile state of a loved one, that generosity will be awarded afterwards with a clean sorrow for the deceased.
