USO INTRAMUSCULAR DA ASSOCIAÇÃO DE TILETAMINA E ZOLAZEPAM NA ANESTESIA DE TILÁPIAS-DO-NILO (Oreochromis niloticus)
Abstract
Once the anesthetic association of tiletamine and zolazepam(Zoletil® 50) was successfully used in the anesthesia of Niletilapias (Oreochromis niloticus) via intravenous, the aim of thisexperiment was to evaluate the use of this association via intramuscular.30 fish separated into 6 treatments with 4 repetitionsand 1 control group were used. The dosages of 5, 10, 20, 30, 40and 60 mg/kg were tested. Even though the anesthetic associationdosages between 10 and 60 mg/kg have caused sedation fromslight to moderate levels after the intramuscular administration, itwas possible to suggest that the use of tiletamine and zolazepamassociation through this via is not proper for bloody and algesicprocedures, once none of those dosages were capable enough toprovoke anesthesia in this species.
