Evaluating enterprise resource planning systems: a study conducted in the metropolitan region of Belo Horizonte - Minas Gerais State

Abstract

This paper presents the results of a study that aimed to evaluate enterprise resource planning systems (ERPs) in companies located in the metropolitan region of Belo Horizonte - Minas Gerais State. The data were collected from 2011 to 2012 through semi-structured interviews, documental research and questionnaires. These data were analyzed using the following techniques: content analysis, descriptive statistics, Kolmogorov-Smirnov’s test, Spearmans correlation and Kruskal-Wallis test. It was verified that, despite some limitations, both users and managers are satisfied with the ERPs implemented at their companies.
