The Dharampuri Ward lake is the oldest lake of Aheri, build up by the Gond Maharaja for domestic purposes. The lake is now used for domestic, irrigation and pisciculture on lease basis. Monthly variations of different physico-chemical characteristics were studied for period of one year from July-06 to June-07 on three sites to enhance the water quality status. Various physico-chemical parameters reveals that the fluctuation in water temperature, pH, DO and sulphate are within desirable limits, slight increase in the values of Hardness, Phosphate and Nitrate indicates the mesoeutrophic nature of the lake at site S,
