Defensa del territorio y autonomía indígena en la lucha de la comunidad de Cherán

Abstract

The research analyzes the processes of territorial defense and the construction of the indigenous autonomy as part of the resistance movement of the indigenous community of Cherán (Mexico), started in 2011. From the query from different sources and its respective argument, describes the process of self-defense with the intention of motivating the reflection on the situation of dispossession living indigenous and ruralcommunities in the context of globalization and neoliberalism. Also, is seeks to make visible the claim of them rights of them communities for the construction of projects of government autonomous based in their conceptions territorial.
