Retrospective study of Pseudomonas Aeruginosa Preparation combined with deep hyperthermia in the treatment of malignant pleural and abdominal effusion
Abstract
Objective To observe and discuss the curative effect of thoracoabdominal infusion of Pseudomonas Aeruginosa Preparation combined with deep hyperthermia in the treatment of malignant thoracoabdominal effusion. Methods In the methods of retrospective analysis, 100 patients were divided into two groups, 50 patients in each group. Group A was injected with Pseudomonas Aeruginosa Preparation into the thoracic and abdominal cavity, and group B was injected with Pseudomonas Aeruginosa Preparation and received deep local hyperthermia. The efficacy and adverse reactions were compared among the two groups. Results The effective rate of group A was 80%, though 6 cases of fever (12%) and 14 cases have chest or abdominal pain (28%). The effective rate of group B was 94%, fever in 2 cases (4%), chest or abdominal pain in 1 case (2%). The effective rate in group B was higher than that in group A, and the difference was statistically significant (P0.05), and the incidence of chest or abdominal pain was higher in group A (P<0.05). Conclusion Pseudomonas Aeruginosa Preparation combined with deep hyperthermia has a significant curative effect and mild adverse reactions in the treatment of malignant pleural and abdominal effusion.
