Diabetes Mellitus is a chronic disease associated with elevated blood sugar levels. Indonesia ranks seventh for the world's most DM patients with 8.5 million patients. The prevalence of DM disease in South Kalimantan Province in Indonesia was 13th at 1.4%. Diabetes mellitus requires long-term treatment so that the effectiveness and side effects of treatment can affect the quality of life of the patient. The degree of quality of life of patients with diabetes mellitus should be known to be able to determine the type and intensity of pharmaceutical services that must be provided This study was conducted using the observational method. Sampling was done by consecutive sampling method. Samples meeting the inclusion criteria were 82 patients. Sample inclusion criteria were outpatients aged 18-65 years with diagnosed DM treated at Ulin Hospital Banjarmasin, and willing to follow the research. Exclusion criteria are patients with illiteracy and deafness. Quality of life data collection is done by interviewing and filling out the EQ-5D questionnaire. GDP levels are taken from medical records. The data of the research are presented in descriptive form. Based on this research can be concluded that the average value of GDP content of the research sample is 182,51 ± 51,00 mg / dL. One hundred percent of the study sample belongs to the classification of DM patients with uncontrolled GDP levels. The average life quality of the sample was dominated by poor quality of life category (76.8%).
