Review of family Monotomidae Laporte, 1840 (Coleoptera: Cucujoidea) in Korea

Abstract

In total, 10 species in five genera of the family Monotomidae Laporte, 1840, are recognized from Korea. Among them, two genera (Rhizophagoides Nakane & Hisamatsu, 1963, and Europs Wollaston, 1854) and four species (Monotoma (Monotoma) testacea Motschulsky, 1845, Rhizophagoides kojimai Nakane & Hisamatsu, 1963, Europs (Europs) temporis Reitter, 1884, and Rhizophagus (Rhizophagus) parviceps Reitter, 1884) are recorded for the first time from Korea. A key to species in Korea, diagnosis, and photographs of the adult for the species are provided.
