As has been indicated in recent years, for the first time in the history of mankind, more than halfof the world´s population lives in cities, and thetendency is increasing. In this situation, manyquestions arise, not only regarding the cities´load capacities, but also regarding the transitionof the cities and the new forms that they adopt, without forgetting the preservation of the ancientcities that are immersed in urban areas. Theseare some of the concerns that are explored in thisfourth volume of the Journal Gremium, dedicatedto the subject of Urban Morphology, which isplaced at the consideration of our distinguishedreaders from a selection of articles from differentcultural visions and spaces.
