A comparative study of the control of two beam models

Abstract

We study the well posedness and the controllability of a realistic beammodel. It turns out that for some values of the papameters it is controllable, while for other values it is not even well posed. In order to solve this problem we also give a general abstract necessary and sufficient condition of well posedness of linear distributed systems.
