The focus of this article is Moscow’s architectural objects of the 1990-2000s, stretching from the Garden Ring (Zubovsky, Smolensky and Novinsky Boulevards) to Mokhovaya Street along the border of Bolshaya Nikitskaya Street and Prechistenskaya Embankment for the purpose of exploring Moscow’s new architecture. This area of the city displays a concentration of various buildings reflecting the tastes and ideas of Russian architecture at the turn of the 21st century: from postmodernism to neo-modernism, Art Deco, from neoclassicism to deconstruction, and experiments with form.
