Increasing the performance of employees in businesses is a desired goal, which can be achieved through work motivation. Motivational rewards may diverge for different societes, people or businesses even though there are commonly accepted work motivation factors. This study examines the work motivations of administrative staff of forest products industry in Düzce province. We used Work Motivation Scale developed by Mottaz and validated in various studies. The findings of the study revelaed that intrinsic rewards have greater effect on the work motivation than extrinsic rewards. Effects of the rewards on the work motivation are not significantly different in terms of age, education, marital status, income, position at job and experience.
