Introduction: Trigeminal and Glossopharyngeal neuralgia and the one of the glosopharynx are oral diseases of relatively low frequency that share affected and similar areas with the glosodinia. Orofacial pain that is present in these affections is very interesting because of the bothering that can influence in oral health. Objective: To present current data about trigeminal and Glossopharyngeal neuralgia as well as glossalgia. Methods: A systematic library revision, based on research and scrutiny of 51 documents in Spanish and English, in diverse data bases: LIS, Medline, Cochrane, Lilacs, SeCiMed, SciELO was performed. Articles about etiology, signs and symptoms, diagnosis and treatment, as well as case presentations were taken into account. Conclusions: Etiologically, these oral diseases can also be seen associate to psychological disorders such as stress, hysteria, anxiety and depression.
