Conceptual development of a software module for the information environment of regional tourism

Abstract

The regional tourism industries need modern methods and technologies to provide information support taking into account local specifics. Comfort and informational guidance are key factors for successful promotion and sustainable development in this area and for tourist service provision. Domestic tourism has great prospects in the coming years in many of the Russian territories, and the Southern Urals is no exception. Based on reference archaeological objects, the project reported in this paper suggests a conceptual software module, “Cartogram of Reference Tourism Objects” (СROT-1.0), developed and tested on Internet platforms.
