Data from 150 women fisher folks in Epe and Eti -osa local government areas of Lagos State reveal that there is higher involvement in Epe. Most of the women are constrained by low return, high input cost, lack of micro credit, inadequate processing and storage facilities and paddling difficulties. Using t -test analysis, the results show that significant difference exists between the level of involvement in fishing activities in Epe and Eti -osa (t = 4.62, P < 0.05). Women fisher folks in Epe have a relatively higher mean level 29.91 of fishing activities than Eti -osa (20.14). Recommendations are made with a view to enhancing the capacity building of women through improved fisheries extension delivery to bridge notable gaps for sustainable fisheries production.
