GlacierFischt–the most western glacierin the Caucasus, characterized by some geographical features. According to theobservations of 1909, tacheometry 1982 andairborne laser scanningin 2010were obtainedinformation aboutits evolution. For 100 years the glacier retreatedat 120–250m, the areahas decreased by33%. During 1982–2010, the surfaceof the glacier on average decreased by2 m. Madelidar survey laid the foundation for further monitoring.
