After clarifying the concept of deconstructive reading in this research paper, it is demonstrated that this style of reading not only addresses characters with binary oppositions, such as male/female, West/East, human/animal, in fiction (Short story and Novel), but also challenges hierarchical conceptions. As a result, the established hierarchical order is dismantled, and the logic of supplementation, carrying the significance of marginalized perspectives, takes precedence. Through an important example from Urdu fiction (Afsana: “Bhola”) an effort is made to highlight the accommodation of misunderstood characters and perspectives. This mode of reading can include new dimensions in the analysis of Urdu fiction and its philosophical examination of marginalized characters and perspectives.
