Analysis Method of Strontium[90Sr] in Medical Yttrium[90Y] Chloride Solution

Abstract

For the rapid analysis of the amoun of 90Sr in medical yttrium[90Y] chloride solution， 90Sr was separated from the yttrium[90Y] chloride solution by DGA resin,and measured by a liquid scintillation counter. The acidity and volume the elution were also studied. The results show that this method provides stable and reliable detection results，good linearity，and fully meets the detection requirements of 90Sr with a limit of <2×10−5 Bq/Bq (90Y). The detection time is less than 2 hours，reducing the time of release testing and the radiation dose to operators.
