10 years of postgraduate enology studies at the Faculty of Pharmacy of the Jagiellonian University Medical College in Kraków
Abstract
The article presents an outline of the history of establishing by the Senate of the Jagiellonian University the first Polish postgraduate training courses in "Oenology" ten years ago. The jubilee is an opportunity to recall the program assumptions of the studies and to outline the perspectives and directions for the development of education in the field of wine science at pharmaceutical faculties based on the experience gathered. The article recalled the contribution to the studies of their first Head, prof. dr. hab. Jerzy Brandys, a long-time Head of the Department of Toxicology at the Faculty of Pharmacy of the Jagiellonian University Medical College. The composition of the teaching staff of the first historical edition of the studies was also presented.
