This study Scale of Perceived Organizational Support has been carried out as methodological by being adapted to nursing in order to examine its validity and reliability and bring it in to the nursing literature. METHODS: The sample size of the study is composed of 964 nurses working in a university hospital (N=550) and a state hospital (N=560) in Eskisehir. The data of the study has been collected through 10 item 'Scale of Perceived Organizational Support' developed by Eisenberger et al. (1996), abridged by Stassen and Ursel (2009) and the validity and reliability of which has been carried out by Akkoc et al. (2012) and 'Personal Information Form'. Content validity, item analyses, internal consistency and test-retest methods have been carried out in order to analyse the validity and reliability of the scale. RESULTS: After the statistical analyses, reliability of Scale of Perceived Organizational Support has been found the correlation value as r=0.961, and p=0.000. There was no significant difference between average points of test-retest. The internal consistency has been found as α=0.88. It has been stated that the correlation values of item total points are between 0.39 and 0.72; that the factor loads of items differ between 0.23 and 0.85 after confirmatory factor analysis. It has been determined that the single factoral structure of the scale is acceptable and Scale of Perceived Organizational Support has been composed of 9 items and 1 sub dimension. DISCUSSION AND CONCLUSION: After the analyses carried out, the Scale of Perceived Organizational Support is a valid and reliable scale that could be used for nurses.
