LUTAS SOCIAIS, DIREITOS E POLÍTICAS PÚBLICAS
Abstract
Some relevant theoretical issues of the debate on the relationship among social struggles, rights and state policies. The author highlights that the obtention -and even the preservation- of social rights through the system faces an adverse context because of the strong permanence of neoliberalism. On the other hand, he argues that the struggles for rights within the current phase of “transnationalisation” of capitalism in crisis pose the challenge of building a democracy that makes possible the deepening of the political participation of popular classes. Facing this challenge is an urgent task for the anti-systemic social forces.
