The case of a young man who suffered trauma at the right wrist is reported. He was treated at the Emergency Department of Orthopedics and Traumatology of the Arnaldo Milian Castro Provincial University Hospital in Santa Clara, Villa Clara. The wrist radiographs, in anteroposterior and lateral views, showed a volar dislocation of the metacarpophalangeal joints, of all the spokes without associated fractures. It required emergency treatment in the surgical unit. An open reduction was performed under general anesthesia through a volar approach. The patient spent six weeks with immobilization, and later underwent rehabilitative physical therapy. The evolution was favorable. This case is published with the intention of demonstrating that despite the rarity of these injuries they are treatable and that an effective emergency treatment is required for a successful evolution.
