Definition of the place of the class of circulation system diseases and their structural originality among the population of Ukraine
Abstract
Aim. Scientific assessment of the rating of circulatory system diseases among all registered diseases [A00-T98] in 1993 and in 2017 among the population of Ukraine; establishment of age and gender, residing, territorial, and structural features in their development of CSD [I00-I99]. Material and Methods. An epidemiological continuous cross-sectional study of the statistics of the CMS of the Ministry of Health and the State Statistics Service of Ukraine (1993 and 2017) was performed via the Microsoft Office Excel 2016 package, with the use of retrospective, statistical, mathematical, abstract, and graphical methods, as well as copying, deductive awareness, structural and logical analysis, and systematic principles. Results and Discussion. It was found that among all the registered diseases [A00-T98] among the population of Ukraine in 1993 and 2017 the first ranked place was consistently occupied by CMS in both primary (Рprim1993=4.2% (nprim1993=1412298) and Рprim2017=6.7% (nprim2017=1780595)), and general (Рgen1993=24.5% (ngen1993=11465416) and Рgen2017=30.9% (ngen2017=22447510)) incidence. In the period from 1993 till 2017, the primary incidence of CSD increased by nprim=+368297 diseases, or by + 26.1%, while the total number of diseases of the circulatory system class increased by ngen=+10982094 cases, or by + 95.8%. The structural originality of the overall incidence of CSD in 2017 was that in women, the pathology of this class [I00-I99] was registered in Рgenw=61.1% (ngenw=13716937); among urban residents - in Рgenc=67.9% (ngenc=15240699); among the population aged 18 and over - in Рgenadultpopul=96,9% (ngenadultpopul=22199563), among people of working age - in Рgenworkagepopul=36.0% (ngenworkagepopul=8077548). It was proved that among administrative territories, the CSD morbidity was the highest in the Dnipropetrovsk region, constituting Рgendpopul=30,6% (ngendpopul=2223921), and among regions the morbidity was the highest in the Central region - P=27.4% (∑ngencenter=6139637). The first rank in the overall structure of CSD, both among the general and primary morbidity of this class [I00-I99], is firmly occupied by hypertension [I10-I15; І20.Х.7-І25.Х.7; І60.Х.7-І69.Х.7] with the specific weight indexes of Pgenh=46,3% (ngenh=10388376) and Pprimh=38.3% (nprimh=682740), respectively, with the prevalence levels equaling Pgenh=24492.3/100000 and Pprimh=1609.7о/оооо. Conclusions. The consequences give grounds to the heads of medical care facilities and institutions of public health of various levels to develop and active employ effective prevention technologies among the population of the country aimed at reducing the incidence of CSD, and promoting of public health in the context of the WHO recommendations.
