Abstract

The Second Vatican Council was a time the Holy See updated its international presence in the world. The consciousness of having abandoned the Eurocentric dimension, having moved to a truly universal other one, led her to consider the importance of unity of Christianity and the civil right to religious freedom as instruments of becoming the spiritual side of the UN.
