Representa la globalización una amenaza para los regímenes del bienestar em la unión europea?

Abstract

Herewith is argued that there is no correlation between Globalization and the Welfare State's decline. It is also considered that the loss of national identity - a result from structural transformations as well as the new liberal discourse - is a key element in the 'democratic disaffection' within the European Union which is rather threatened by the specifics of its unification process than by Globalization.
