An integrated model explaining for student’s reading intention
Abstract
The study was conducted with two objectives: Firstly, to understand the situation of reading habits of students through surveyed data from 383 students in Da Lat City. Secondly, the research builds a theoretical model that integrates the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) and Motivational Theory to explain the intention of maintaining students' reading habits. SEM structure model is implemented on a sample of 252 students. The results showed that internal and external motivations have a positive impact on reading attitudes. Attitudes, norms and perceived behavior control have contributed to explaining students’ reading intention.
