This study explores the critical issue of leadership support for knowledge management initiatives within organizations. Despite the significant investments in time and effort required for successful implementation, leadership backing is often undervalued. Through a systematic literature review encompassing 23 papers, this research investigates the impact of leadership job descriptions and support on knowledge management implementation. The findings underscore the pivotal role of top-level management in fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and learning. Leaders must lead by example, providing training, recognition, and essential resources to create an environment conducive to knowledge sharing. Additionally, leaders are instrumental in identifying, capturing, organizing, and utilizing crucial knowledge assets, ensuring organizational success. Furthermore, effective knowledge management processes in top-level management yield strategic advantages such as innovation, problem-solving, and enhanced organizational efficiency. This study emphasizes the implications of leadership support for knowledge management, highlighting its transformative potential within organizations.
