This study aims to review the little-known and published information about what is considered the Roman fort from Voislova, identified in literature with Pons Augusti. Since the discovery of the fortification at the end of the 19th century and up to the present day, no systematic archaeological research has been carried out, only field surveys and the results have so far failed to provide a convincing picture of the site. The information is incomplete because it is unknown when the fortification was built, nor the name of the troop stationed there. The purpose of this study is to corroborate all the information available today, to which we add new unpublished documents. We refer to the testimonies of archaeologists, namely professors passionate about the history of the Dacia province, who saw these ruins on the spot, measured them, and researched and documented them more than 140 years ago when they were still preserved at the surface.
