“There was no such a merging of a writer and a man in any other Russian writer…” Modern Scholars on the Artistic and Aesthetic Phenomenon of Alexey Remizov

Abstract

The paper offers a survey of Remizov studies published in Russian (books, publications in periodicals, scholarly series, collections of critical essays) and a brief history of Soviet/Russian Remizov studies in 1970–2017 with a special emphasis on new perspectives in the interpretation of Remizov’s artistic and aesthetic phenomenon. The Appendix contains a bibliography of modern studies written in Russian, non-registered in the 2016 academic bibliographical index.
