Teaching/learning modern languages presents nowadays a lot of interest, due to globalization as well asto the development of national cultures. Teachers and learners have to face many influences, first, of their own language and culture, and secondly, of the specific objectives assumed by the two actors involved in this biunivocal process. This article highlights the importance of mastering appropriate linguistic and pragmatic structures, while also developing relevant cultural competences and knowledge.
