Pregnancy is associated with venous thromboembolism. Occasionally, thrombus can become entrapped across a patent foramen ovale, with risk of systemic embolism. This report presents a case of a pregnant woman who had thrombus in transit diagnosed by echocardiography, which was successfully removed by surgical thrombectomy.
