Objective: Analyze interpersonal relationships established by the nursing staff of a hospital. Method: Qualitative and descriptive research, performed in a hospital located in Rio Grande do Norte capital. There were sixteen nurses participating in the study, whose data were collected through semi-structured interview and then treated by thematic analysis. Results: An interpersonal relationship category emerged in the perspective of the nursing staff that it was possible to see the weakness in interpersonal relationships in the unit of study. Conclusion: This study evidences the relevance in the development of strategies that are enabling the development of interpersonal relationships of nursing professionals in the work process.
