Abstract
This work is a theoretical essay, it was made from activities carried out under the education-research-extension tripod in the Group of Study and Research in Environmental Education, Diversity and Sustainability, of the Federal Rural University of Rio de Janeiro (GEPEADS/UFRRJ) and a Doctorate degree research in progress that has been developed in the Graduate Program in Geography, belonging to the Federal Fluminense University (POSGEO/UFF). It aims to reflect and understand the fieldwork in Protect Areas as pedagogical strategy that enables a differentiated formation in Environmental Education, in formal and non-formal educational spaces.
