Level Cytokines in Whey of Blood at Children of the First Months of Life with Herpesvirus Infection of the Central Nervous System

Purpose: To study features of neurologic semiology both a level of interleukin-2 (IL-2) and interleukin-4 (IL-4) at children of the first months of life with defeat of nervous system at herpes virus infection. Material and Methods: Сlinical and laboratory examination of the 221 newborns with defeat of nervous system at herpesvirus infection (cytomegalovirus, herpes simplex virus infections, Epstein-Barr virus infections) were done. Follow-up immunological studies were undertaken to examine the levels interleukin 2 (IL -2) and interleukin - 4 (IL -4) in the sera at children of the first months of a life with herpes virus infection. Control group consisted of 12 healthy newborns. Results: All children with herpes virus infection had neurologic semiology of various degrees. Dependence of levels IL-2 and IL-4 from a virus kind is revealed. Summary: The significant increase in the levels of IL -2 was found at children with serious form cytomegalovirus infection.
