Lamellicorn beetles (Coleoptera: Scarabaeoidea) of Sakhalin Island: taxonomical structure, fauna, ecology and zoogeography

Abstract

Taxonomical structure and species composition of fauna of Sakhalin Island are analized. Two new genus, Exomala Reitter, 1903, Hoplia Illiger, 1803, and six new species, Trox scaber (Linnaeus, 1767), Aphodius (Trichonotulus) scrofa (Fabricius, 1787), Aphodius (Planolinus) vittatus Say, 1825, Onthophagus (Phanaeomorphus) japonicus Harold, 1874, Exomala conspurcata (Harold, 1878), Hoplia aureola Pallas, 1803 are firstly recorded for the island fauna. Data on trophical specialization, phenology and spatial distribution of species are given. Horology and zoogeographical features of fauna of lamellicorn beetles of Sakhalin Island are discussed.
