In general wet-gas sampling is viewed as extremely challenging to perform to obtain a representative sample. Due to the difficulties this type of sampling has been actively avoided by industry. This paper provides a general review of the sampling of wet-gas flows and includes results from an experimental evaluation programme to investigate wet gas sampling parameters. In addition the use of Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) modelling for sampling applications and the issues with simulating wet gas flows were investigated.
