This research aims to understand Physical Education as a pedagogic principle that enables the application of interdisciplinarity in the children’s learning process. The eight teachers interviewed work with children’s educationin schools in the city of Campo Grande, in the state of Mato Grosso do Sul. Phenomenology supports the theoreticalprocess in the idiographic and nomothetic analyses of the interviewees’statements. It was possible to identifythat Physical Education enables inter-relations between the constitutive elements in children’s education; it is also a means to construct interdisciplinarityin Children’s Education, with the promotion of interaction among teachers from different subjects.
