The present was carried out with the intention of sharing formative experiences of teaching in Geography, acquired through living in the school space, observation and participation in classes and extra-class activities, and carrying out interventions through a teaching project. The reflections, training and production of scientific research were acquired within the scope of the Institutional Program for Teaching Initiation Scholarships (PIBID), carried out at the Colégio Estadual Adolfo Bezerra de Menezes, located inthe urban area of Araguaína-TO. It is an exploratory and qualitative research, built through literature review, reports of the experience at school, socialization of experiences between academics, school teacher, and PIBIDcoordinator of Geography.The results demonstrate PIBIDas of fundamental importance in the initial training of teachers, since it provides a broad notion of the reality and everyday practice of teaching work, effectively contributing to the improvement of teaching-learning in GeographyInstitutional Program of Teaching Initiation Scholarships
