As authors of the ‘GrandeDizionario di Spagnolo Zanichelli’ (2012) (GDS), we raised several questions on the description of grammatical voices in Spanish and Italian. In this article we present how we have dealt with lexicographic practice in relation to two issues: the treatment of objects and of transitive / intransitive verbs. Here we present some brief reflections on how we use grammatical descriptions in the teaching of Italian as a second language.
