Universities, like any constituent and participative element of society, have not escaped the advent of information and communication technologies (ICT). ICT found their way into teaching situations at university, but without producing much scientific literature and research work. This article is based on the assumption that studying the teacher/student educational relationship at university requests taking ICT into account, and attempts to provide answers to the following questions: what are ICT doing to the educational relationship? How are the key issues related to the educational relationship (power, authority, asymmetry, roles, modes of interaction and transaction between the partners) impacted and updated by ICT? Our focus is on "traditional" face-to-face teaching. Taking into account the existing literature, we analyze the possible impact of ICT on the educational relationship at university and then attempt to consider the type of field work needed on the subject.
