LITERATURE REVIEW OF RESEARCH ON PUPPETRY IN PRESCHOOL EDUCATION
Abstract
This article offers an overview of research on puppetry within the context of early childhood education. The primary research method employed was document analysis. Findings from the recent studies indicate emphasized on the positive influence of puppetry on cognitive, emotional, social, and physical development in preschool-aged children. Moreover, the research underscored the significance of factors such as the roles of teachers and parents, learning environments, and individual child characteristics in the efficacy of puppetry implementation in preschool settings. Various research directions were proposed to enhance understanding of the specific impacts of puppetry on diverse facets of early childhood development, as well as to advocate for increased utilization of puppetry in early childhood education.
