Experiences from rural development theories show the inefficiency of some past rural projects; Therefore, in the current period, the creative village approach as a new and effective perspective in the field of rural development tries to provide a quality and creative living environment in rural areas. The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of creative rural indicators on the sustainability of rural settlements in Sistan. This research is based on descriptive-analytical method and is applied in terms of purpose. Documentary and field methods were used to collect information. The statistical sample includes 20 villages with a population of 9762 households, which according to Cochran's formula, 308 people were selected and surveyed by simple random method. To test the conceptual model of the research and to investigate the effect of creative village indicators on the sustainability of rural settlements, one-sample t-test and Smart PLS software were used. Based on the values related to the path coefficient in the final model of the research, in general, the creativity factor with a coefficient of effect (0.97%) explains rural sustainability. Also, the components of flexibility, initiative, promotion and training, risk-taking, leadership and participation with coefficients of 0.182, 0.162, 0.148, 0.149, 0.155, 0.169%, respectively, indirectly affect rural sustainability. Based on the test (sample T), the average obtained for all dimensions (independent and dependent variable) is higher than the theoretical average (3). Among these, social (with an average of 3.45), economic (with an average of 3.37) and physical (with an average of 3.31) components have the greatest impact on sustainability and the components of promotion and education (with an average of 3.46), flexibility ( With an average of 3.43) and initiative (with an average of 3.42) have the greatest impact on rural creativity.
